kybrd displays 2's when I type "k's" and 4's When I input "h's"

what would cause my keboard to display 2's when I hit the "k" key and 4's
when I hit the "H" key. I haven't checked the rest but what would cause
something like this? keyboard is mapped correctly.
 
If you have a laptop computer, then maybe your NumLock key is on.
