As you'll probably know, Windows XP does not come with Zodak Imaging (as
supplied with Windows 2000). I've scanned the internet for various solutions
- but there are just too many. I had use the Zodok Imaging to view .tif
drawings through PTC's Intralink (ProEngineer Database)..... but now I can't
!!
..
Does anyone have a 'simple' solution / work-a-round?
Is there a alternative software available? - free or purchased?
..

Apparently it can be installed in XP. See this link (Kodak Imaging)

Hi Rock,

From the same source, you gained this info from dated 5/03. Read on.....

It can and I have provided the details to do so on my website for years;
however, recently, I came across this info and have since removed it.

This is not legal - Imaging for Windows
Imaging for Windows is a product of eiStream Inc.
Their Legal Department states:

"XP users are not licensed to use Imaging for Windows. The product is not a
part of the XP operating system as Microsoft is no longer licensed to
distribute it. XP users who wish to have the Imaging for Windows
functionality may purchase the licences."

"Further, it is in fact a copyright violation to take Imaging for Windows
from a prior O/S and 'drop' it into XP; this activity is also a violation of
both eiStream's and Microsoft's licenses to end users."

Imaging for Windows is available from

Ahh I didn't read the whole thing. Thanks

No problem, Rock! The workarounds have been published for years. However,
it was brought to my attention publicly (in this group) just recently as a
matter of fact. From that point on, I found it proper to stop posting the
information. But, that is just me. :o)

I never used win2k so was unaware of the whole issue. I agree it's not
the thing to recommend based on the circumstances.
