killing fax service on win2000 fails

Hello,

for some reasons I need to kill the fax service after using it (win2000). I can't do that neither programatically nor manuel (Taskmanager). I allways get the "access denied" message ( logged in as admin).
The faxqueue is empty, there are no jobs pending.
Does anyone know how I can get rid of that service running without rebooting my machine?
