keystroke speed

For some reason, I have to hold down each key for one second for it to
display on the screen. How do I return to normal?

You haven't said what you did so far. Did you go to control panel--keyboard
and check settings there?

Look in Control Panel, Accessibility Options, Keyboard, Filter keys.
