Please help!! To get an @ symbol I have key in shift 2 and to get " I have to
key in shift @
There are also other keystrokes that don't match the actual symbol on the
key, I have been told it's a keyboard language issue but havn't been told how
to fix it. Can anyone help?

Sounds to me like you have the keyboard in the US style on XP and you
actually have a UK keyboard. Its just a matter of changing the
language, to do that:

Goto the Control Panel and the settings are in the Regional and
Language Options, under the language tab.

Hope it helps,
Daniel

Those of us here in the US think that that's correct. <g>

You're running with US keyboard settings and you apparently want UK
settings. To change it, go to Start | Settings | Control Panel | Regional
and Language Options. Change it on the Regional Options tab.
