Keyboard Shortcut

Hello a45rpm33,

The short answer is "not really" or, more optimistically, "sort of."

There is no keyboard shortcut (such as CTRL+V for "paste") for creating a
new folder. However, you can use the following keys in sequence (meaning
don't hold down the ALT key while you press the other keys in order) to
create a new folder in Documents, Pictures, and Music:

ALT, F, W, F

This key sequence doesn't work in every location (the desktop, for example).

It seems to me that there ought to be a keyboard shortcut for creating a new
folder, so I'll make sure the right product team is aware of this request.

Yes, click in the location where you want to create the new folder,
hold down the ALT key and press F, W, F, in that order.
