Keyboard Shortcut Error

At times when I am typing something in Vista will switch on and every time I
type a vowel it opens some applett. Last night I was typing in a text chat
to my instructor and got Dav typed in then My Computer Opened when I pressed
the letter E. I then pressed the U key and Ease of Access Center opened. I
know I didn't press the Windows Key on accident when this problem occured, I
also toggled the function and toggle keys on my keyboard on and off to make
sure they were all off and that didn't solve the problem. The only way I
could regain control of my keyboard was to reboot my entire system, something
not so easily done in Vista. This is not the first time this has done this
to me and there is no consistancy as to when this switches on, no similiar
key presses to start it, no application running that causes it. Any help
that anyone could offer would be greatly appreciated. Also if this is an
accessability feature, I would like to know how to uninstall/permenantly turn
off those features, I am not handicapped (other than by Vista), and don't
need problems like this.

Thank you,

Is it possible the Windows key is sticking? Or maybe there's some grime
under it that's making the machine think it's been pressed?
Try blowing some pressurized air along the keyboard if you have any. Or, at
the very least, turn the keyboard upside down and shake. Not too hard, but
shake it long enough for stuff to fall out of it.

DP,

Thank you for the suggestion, but I blow my keyboard out with compressed air
and vaccume the keyboard at least once a week, so there is nothing under the
keyboard that would cause it to stick or be grimmed up.

Thanks for assistance,

Eric

The very same thing happened to me just recently... That being the first case, the second case that happened to me was that some keys just don't respond whenever I press them. I usually have to turn on the CAPS LOCK for it to type the letters I want... And I don't think it's dirt that's causing it.

I listed some of the errors I got in the first one:
E; opens My Computer
R; opens Run
T; switches windows
U; opens Ease of Access Center
F; opens Find
L; locks Computer
M; minimizes all windows

I think I may have missed some errors... and I'm now currently experiencing the second error. Q, W, E, R and some others aren't responding, copy pasting the letters while I type... >_<
