My computer 'crashed', I was told to reseat CMOS battery (which I did),
but now when trying to reboot......goes to screen where need to press
F1 or DEL, but keyboard will not work. Any suggestions as to what I
can do?

You may have a USB based keyboard, which will not directly work in BIOS. You
need to "Enable USB Legacy" in the BIOS, but you need a PS/2 style keyboard.

I did plug aPS/2 type keyboard in. Still have same problem of not
being able to get past the page I described because keyboard won't work.

Did you plug the PS/2 cable in the correct spot? There are normally 2 PS/2
connectors on most PCs. One is for the mouse and the other is for the keyboard.
