Keyboard function keys

The Fn key when used with the function keys have no affect. Ex. the Fn key
when used with the F5 with an up or down arrow is supposed to brighten or dim
the screen on my Sony notebook, but nothing happens. I'm wondering if I have
unknowingly shut that off or if my keyboard driver is corrupted somehow
although I did update trying to solve the problem. The keyboard seems works
okay in all other respects. Any help would be appreciated

from Sony. Call their helpdsesk and if necessary they can arrange to have
your notebook serviced.
