Keyboard cut & paste

Morning,
I am frustrated by the lack of CONTROL + X to cut text. CONTROL + C and V
work fine. But I wonder if there is a setting I might tweak to get this
function back on my keyboard.

FIXED!
I had assigned the keyboard shortcut to another program, thereby
interfering.

Thanks anyway!
