kernel_stack_inpage error

pc keeps freezing. I get kernel_stack_inpage_error. Being computer thick, i
cant understand all the tech stuff : if the error is- coooo185 and the
paging file is on a scsi based hard disc, you should verify the disc cabling
and scsi termination....this is double dutch to me...can anyone please put
this into simple terms. I have other error messages too, but can only deal
with one thing at a time I am using xp

I did a quick search for that error and came up with lots of hits. Here's
what MS has to say:

making changes to the Registry, which I wouldn't do on a whim. Good luck....
