My only problem with the site is that it only offers downloads (am I
correct about that?); I want an explanation of the fix and how to do it
myself.

The fixes are explained elsewhere, on lots of other pages. This is just the central repository of downloads.

If you want to check these things (in a generic sense) one normally lops of the page from the URL which will connect to the default page for the site and looks oneself.

I did mean for you to take the "compliment", Your site is now and has been
very useful to me in the past. Just pay no attention to the "abusive"
intruders that don't (or) won't take time to read the directions or who
will not take the time and effort to check things out which they don't
