Keeps Freezing

hi, when ever i right click a program on the task bar to
close it, just as i go to put the mouse over the word
close, my computer locks up, and it wont continue at all,
i have to manually reset it, which is realy annoying,
because i lose everything i was doing, i mainly get the
problem when trying to close internet explorer 6.0, im
not sure about other programs

please help

Hi,

Right click a blank area on the Desktop/Properties/Appearance
/Effects. In the Effects dialog box, click to clear the: "Use the following
Transition effect for menus and tooltips check box, ok your way out.

If that doesn't help, if you have Hotbar, Yahoo Companion or the Google bar
installed, remove them to see if anything changes. Good luck!
