screen freeze

I have a problem which is really annoying. My screen keeps freezing up, I
can 'unfreeze' it by opening task manager, closing task manager with 2
clicks of the 'x', this is because the first clcik is still part of the
freeze and doesnt close it. after ths my scren is ok for a while then it
freezes up again. Its been like this for ages now and I have asked before
but never got a good answer. I have tried just about every malware program.
ewido, hitman pro and also I have AVG installed but never cured it.

any suggestions.

est regards

Not really enough information to get focused help. This is probably why you
didn't get a useful answer before. Let's narrow things down.

1. Computer specs? Desktop? Laptop? Age of machine? Etc.

2. Since you've already done a lot of malware scanning, did the scans ever
find anything? If yes, what?

3. Are the lockups random or only when you are doing a particular thing?

If the answer to #2 is no, the cause is either some legitimate
program/process you have running in the background that is using all your
resources OR it's hardware-related. If the answer to #3 is yes, then
probably the issue is hardware-related. There is simply no way for me to
know based on the information you haven't provided.

General suggestions:

1. Try clean-boot troubleshooting. This will help determine if the culprit
is software.

2. Another trick is to boot with a Linux Live CD like Knoppix or Ubuntu and
use it for a while. If you have no problems, then the issue is caused by
software in Windows and not hardware. If you do have the problem, you know
the issue is caused by hardware.

3. Do some general hardware testing and maintenance.
