keeps booting

My computer keeps rebooting...and its in english...
It gets as far as the winxp pro logo.....then shuts off...and then reboots.
I can get into the bios set up but thats all....If I put the winxp pro disk
in....it seems to read it a little...then starts windows again...up to the
logo....and then shuts down and reboots again.
any suggestions?.

It could possibly be a virus. Are you getting any error messages during boot
up. If so what are they?

John:...my antivirus is up to date....I have 3 adaware and spy programs...so
I dont think its a virus. My computer gets to the winxp logo..(with the
little green loading bar),,,loads for about 10 seconds....then shuts down.
Im not getting any error messages. Also...my winxp disk is bootable...but
if I put the disk in....and have my bios set to load from the disk....I get
the 'hit any key to boot from disk'...and it seems to bypass that and goes
right into the loading of winxp...then the same problem again.....shuts
down...and reboots.
