keep source formatting for PP2000?

Think I know the answer to this already, but would be very greatful if anyone
knows different?

I'm trying to insert an existing, differently formatted presentation into
another one with the end result being that the inserted one takes on the
slide formatting of the other one. I know with PP 2003 etc. that there is an
option to 'keep source formatting' when inserting a presentation into
another, but can't seem to manage it with my stone age version. Should I give
up now and manually format the slides I'm trying to insert?

You can only have multiple masters (and therefore keep source format) in XP
onwards. Sorry

You are quite right older versions do not have that. No multiple masters
possible. But have a look here for possible workarounds:
