keep losing the quick launch toolbar

every once in a while, for no apparent reason, when I start up Windows the
quick launch toolbar is not there so I have to bring it back by right
clicking on the task bar.

it wouldn't be a big deal if it wasn't that everytime this happens the icons
are scrambled again

any ideas why the toolbar keeps disappearing between boot-ups?

I have a computer with the same problem except all the icons in the quick
launch disappear each time. I can right click and select the quick launch
toolbar on each reboot, but that is a real pain after so many times. Can
someone help mimmo and me? Thanks in advance....
