keep individual items in shared calendar confidential?

We need to know where people are during the day and what they are doing
most of the time, but a person may not want us to know information about
their personal appointments that would be in the shared calendar.

Is there a way to share a calendar but choose to hide an individual item's
contents from others?
 
Have them click the "Private" checkbox at the bottom right corner of any
appointment items they wish to remain discreet.
