keep a copy on yahoo pop server

Hi,
I use windows mail to download emails from my yahoo account.
It works except I checked the option to keep the emails on the yahoo server
in order to have access to them through the web and it does'nt work as
expected.
Emails are deleted from the yahoo server after they have been read.

Does someone have the same problem? Is this a bug with the interface between
yahoo and WM?

Thanks

Some email providers ignore requests to keep a copy of the messages
on the server after you download them.

Have you checked to see if you selected a delete option under
Tools, Accounts, select the account, Properties, Advanced?

Yes of course. I try to unselect, save, reselect a few times. It seems there
is an incompatibility between WM and Yahoo webmail with POP.
It seems jgb555 has the same problem.

Thanks

Some mail providers don't allow emails to remain on the server once they
have been downloaded. I don't know if Yahoo has that policy.

I have att/yahoo and the mail servers are yahoo servers. I am able to
leave a copy of mail on the server using windows mail. As you stated,
the op needs to set (or recheck the setting making sure to click the
apply or ok button when exiting) in windows mail under the
tools/accounts/properties(of account in question)/advanced/delivery
option. I don't find any other settings either in windows mail or on
settings available through the online mail that will cause the mail to
be removed from the server when the above setting is in force.
