Well, "don't know" is not the correct server name...
Who is your email account provider, Yahoo?

If you have the free US Yahoo account (webmail), then you can't use Windows
Mail, as it only accesses POP3 and IMAP accounts.

If you have the Yahoo Plus account....

A tu avec Videotron ou Bell. Je connaise pas le nom de serveur du Bell mais pour
Videotron est comme j'ecrire suivant

relais.videotron.ca

A haut est le nom de ton serveur. Corriger dans ton setup.

Right-click on your error message, copy, then paste it into a reply here.
We can't do much troubleshooting without the complete error message.

Incidentally, your Windows is configured for the wrong time zone. That
can cause some obscure problems.

The message I keep getting from WINDOW MAIL when trying to send out message
is the following.
TASK: Send 24 messages using IMAP..STATUS; Failed CONNECTION Local area
network.

When asking for the error, response is the following.
The host dont know could not be found please verify that you have entered
the server name correctly.
SUBJECT information, account IMAP server dont know, protoco;, SMTP, PORT 25,
sucure SSL
No, socket error, error number 0X800ccud

What is it that I am doing wrong....?

You must not be talking about Windows Mail then, since it has a
fairly comprehensive Help section.

Do you get an error message when you try to send or receive? If so,
right-click on your error message, copy, then paste it into a reply here.
We can't do much troubleshooting without the complete error message.

comprehensive instructions on how to set up popular clients.
Is it me or do I sense a considerable drop in computer skills recently?
I don't seem to recall all these hundreds of posts in the same vein when
Outlook Express was first launched...

Outlook Express was first launched...

The explanation is that computers were initially owned by enthusiasts
who didn't mind taking time to learn the requirements.
As computers became more and more popular, the typical owner nowadays
expects it to operate like a toaster, no thought required.
