I have only just recently found a problem with defender and that is that i
cannot update my definitions using windows updates (KB915597). I have looked
up the problem and have found it is common.
I proceeded with the steps to fix it and when I then check for updates on
defender, it says there are none available. same with windows update.
I believe it is now sorted but my definitions say the following
1.14.1436.4 created on 02/05/2006 at 4:15.
Are these definitions correct and up to date. My defender says there is
nothing wrong with these dates and the program is saying 'no unwanted or
harmful software detected - your computer is running normally'. I just would
like confirmation that my windows defender is still up to date.
