KB870669 Automatic Update problem

After installing the 'Critical Update for ADODB.stream
(KB870669)' update on an XP Home computer, my bluetooth
dongle software (WIDCOMM 1.3.2.7) no longer works.

Anytime I try and use it I get the standard 'windows
explorer has encountered an error.......". message.

I know the problem is caused by the update because
rolling back to a system restore point before it was
installed resolves everything.

Any help appreciated.
 
There are new updates available (they came out yesterday) which should fix
your problem.

I've just installed the 5 new critical updates and the
same problems still exist.

Any Ideas?
 
try uninstalling/reinstalling bluetooth software and/or
see if updated versions for ur product is available.
