KB828750 update buggy?

Ever since I downloaded Windows Update patch KB828750, my
IE6.0 has had trouble. I have gotten the blue
screen "windows protection fault" error about 20 times
since installing that patch (Oct. 3). I end up having to
disconnect (dialup) and reconnect to get a "clean"
connection again; otherwise, it'll just keep hanging.

Has anyone else experienced this? Does anyone have any
suggestions on how to fix my IE?

Your problem may have been caused by one or more parasites, against which
this patch now provides protection. And the parasites could have damaged
your Winsock setup. See:

Use Ad-aware and Spybot to scan your system, then reboot. If you still have
a problem, or just want to make sure, use HiJackThis! and visit the
SpywareInfo forums for further help.
