I'm running SUS on my network and i now have systems
which will not correctly install KB823718.
Each morning these systems report this new update to
install which has been applied to the system time and
time again. When you visit www.windowsupdate.com this
patch is not reported as needed.
So thisa must be an SUS related issue.
Any ideas on how to resolve this?

Hi

Note that MS04-003/KB832483 replaces/supersedes MS03-033/KB823718, see

Buffer Overrun in MDAC Function Could Allow Code Execution (832483)
http://www.microsoft.com/technet/security/bulletin/ms04-003.mspx

If you have approved KB832483, you should disapprove KB823718.

Fyi, there is a separate newsgroup for SUS:

microsoft.public.softwareupdatesvcs

news://msnews.microsoft.com/microsoft.public.softwareupdatesvcs

URL to the group softwareupdatesvcs for those who uses the Web
interface to access the newsgroups:

A Web site about SUS with a FAQ and a SUS forum:
