Hi there. I am getting the following error in my
Directory Service Log:

Event Type: Error
Event Source: NTDS Database
Event Category: Internal Processing
Event ID: 1168
Date: 4/19/2004
Time: 4:29:00 PM
User: N/A
Computer: TAHOE
Error 8430(20ee) has occurred (Internal ID 20612ee).
Please contact Microsoft Product Support Services for

I dont have a support contract with MS. Is there a link
for me to download the hotfix listed to resolve this
problem in KB article 827531 ?

Actually no support contract is required. Fixes are, of course, always
completely and utterly free. We ask you to call only so we can jot down your
email address and contact you in the event that some problem is found with
the fix later on.

So please give PSS a call and they'll get the QFE in your hands. Just tell
them the article that you want and it should be a quick and painless

You can call support and open a free incident to get the hot fix. However,
if the hot fix does not resolve the problem you will need to open a new paid
