Kaspersky error

I keep getting getting the error message "Unknown error detected while
checking the license for Kaspersky online scanner product" each time I
try to download the online scanner.

Any ideas, someone please?

Kaspersky had a problem with an update in 6.0 that caused this error
message. There is discussion on this in http://forum.kaspersky.com/

In my case, since I was too stupid to back up my license, I had to uninstall
6.0 and reinstall 5.0. I just left 5.0 on my laptop for now and don't feel
comfortable messing with 6.0 again. If it works, don't mess with it is my
motto.
