hi all,

my subscription to norton system work 2003 (nav) has recently expired. i
would like to try kaspersky antivirus 6.0.

does someone know how to remove nav 2003 completely from my system and
leave the rest of system works 2003 intact? i use some of the other
utilities regularly.

i know it can be removed from the control panel, but does this do a
complete removal?

any help would be greatly appreciated.

Yeah, Bob, and then some.

What you could do is download and install a trial version of Norton
Antivirus 2007, then uninstall it. That will leave Norton SystemWorks
installed without the antivirus component. I did that with a system and
then tried trial versions of several antivirus products. The method seemed
to work well for uninstalling Norton Antivirus 2005 while leaving the rest
of Norton SystemWorks intact.

I basically uninstalled NSW2003Pro and then use the Norton uninstall tool.
I also used a registry cleaner and after I was pretty sure I got rid of all the
Norton stuff, I installed another anti-virus.
After I was satisfied that it was working properly, I put in the NSW2003Pro cd
and installed the programs I wanted.
Namely, Ghost and Utilities. Works just fine.
That was on my Win98SE system.

thanks for all the responses.

it seems like i will uninstall systemworks, use the symantec tool to
cleanup and reg cleaners and then install a new virus scanner. i will
them reinstall the systems utilities from the systems works cd and not
install nav.

again, tanks fro the responses.
