Jumping Browser Windows

I'm experiencing sporadic odd behavior with IE 6. I'll
click on a link in one browser window, and the target will
appear in another open browser window instead of the one
that was active. This is *very* annoying. Does anyone know
what the issue is and if anything can be done?

With ie open, tools, internet options, advanced. Browsing. Put a check
mark in "Reuse windows for launching shortcut", click apply and OK out.
