Jump around typing

Reciently Ive re-installed my Windows XP. Now for some reason when I start
typing, it will type for awhile, and then all of a sudden, it will jump to
another line where I have have already typed and start typing there. Normally
it will jump to where my mouse curser is. Any suggestions why this is
happening, or what I can do/re-install to stop this. I have re-installed my
mouse drivers, but nothing has changed... This is very annoying, especially
when I am typing a lot....

I should also state that this also does it when my mouse is not pluged in -
but I am still using my laptop built in mouse pad....

Happens to me all the time, usually because I lightly brush or come "just
so" close to the touchpad - I put a small piece of paper over it to block it
when doing heavy duty typing.

Disable the little mouse "pad" and plug in your mouse. You are likely triggering mouse movement by moving hands or fingers over the mouse pad.
