Today when I started my computer all the icons and
windows are displaying in JUMBO sizes. They are more
then twice the usual size. At the same time any windows
that are open have a much poorer resolution- kinda like
when you zoom in on a picture that is low resolution.
The only thing I can think of that migh have caused this
is that I did download some "critical windows updates".
The problem is so bad that I am constantly moving any
windows around to read full centences. It's as if the
display if for a monitor twice my size. My wall paper
seems to be fine but anything I open up is in this JUMBO
mode. I tried looking at the display settings uder the
Control Panel but I did not find anything that helped.

Any assistance would be great.

It sounds like your display resolution has changed. Right-click
on the desktop and choose Properties. Check your resolution on
the Settings tab, and change it if necessary.

.

Maybe it is something in the 'accessibility' setting.
There is stuff in there for people with vision problems.

it looks like my screen resolution is defaulting to 640
by 480 pixels. But even after I change it and hit apply
it will not update.

Does anyone have any suggestions on what the problem may
be.

I also double checked my 'Accessibility' application and
nothing was accidentally turn on there.

Reinstall your video card drivers. You may have installed drivers from
Windows Update (always a bad idea) that weren't right for your video
card.
