I copied some jpg's from a cd to my hard drive last night and I viewed all
the pics after they were copied to my hard drive. Today I went to view the
pics and only about 8 out of 100 are now viewable. Even jpg's that were in
that folder previous to last night are now unreadable. They all have the
correct file size and name but are unreadable for some reason.

Any ideas?

Thank You

Kevin

Kevin's level of OE is exactly the same level as mine and I am set up for
automatic updates, always have been. Exactly how would any of that keep him
from reading jpg's?

No, you're updated with all the critical updates, he hasn't updated since
installing SP2.

You are, however, missing an optional update.

There are two articles, KB918766 and KB918651, but the latter is not
currently available. The download link is
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/...78-f325-4a95-98c2-98af2256ccc3&DisplayLang=en

It places the backup in Recycled, overwriting any earlier backup of the same
folder(s). To use it, copy it to the store folder, delete the one you want
to replace and then rename the BAK file to DBX. (It's a bit more
complicated if the messed up DBX file isn't there or contains messages that
are new that you want to keep.

I just updated my computer, I dont know if it solved the problem that you
all are seeing. Tell me please, what is it that you are seeing on your end
that makes you say that my outlook express is out of date?

Does any one have any idea how to fix my problem with my jpg's?

Thank you

Kevin

The version numbers in the headers. The OE used for THIS message is up to
date.

I am curious, was my problem obvious at first glance or did you have to
press ctrl-f3 to see my problem?

I had to use Ctrl-F3 to verify, but I was certainly suspicious.
