In Office XP, access XP databases with jpgs as objects were handled through
ole with MS Photo Editor. For some reason Office 2003 has no idea how to
handle the jpgs. I installed MS Photo Editor from the XP office CD to
resolve the issue. I posted this question many months ago and at that time
several people said they had the same issue but no other solution. It would
seem like MS would be adding features, not stripping them from Office. Is
there a correct way to resolve this issue without having to use previous
versions of Office to resolve them?

Thanks

Well I can certainly understand why MS doesn't support JPG's any more -
other than cameras, web pages, and most software, who uses jpg's for
pictures?

Someone really screwed the pooch on this one and didn't even buy it
breakfast the next morning!

I have had the same issue arise from 2000 as well and the only response that
I could get was to get a batch converter and convert all .jpg to another
format. .gif works well and gives good picture clarity. I used Picture-desk v
1.1. It is simple to use and converts quickly. If you have had any other
resolve to this question I would love to hear what it is. (e-mail address removed)

Boy, you got that right! I was unaware of this "behaviour" -- it's right up
there with having Outlook reject .mdb attachments. Bleah!

I can't believe they don't have a patch or a download out to take care of
supporting JPG's without converting them.
