Windows XP, Office 2003
I have an Access database with the Design copy on a desktop computer and
replicas on two laptops. I created a field to hold hyperlinks.
When I open a hyperlink via Access on the two laptops, JPGs are opened with
the desired program...either Windows Picture and Fax Viewer or Office Picture
Manager. Likewise, when I open a JPG directly on the two laptops, the desired
program opens them.
On the desktop, though, clicking the hyperlink in Access results in the JPG
opening up in Internet Explorer, which is unsatisfactory for some images. In
Folder Options, JPGs are associated with Office Picture Manager, and when a
JPG is opened directly, the correct program responds.
Am I missing a setting within Access on my desktop computer that will
associate a JPG to open with Office Picture Manager rather than Internet
Explorer?
