.jpg to .bmp conversion

If I try to capture a picture from online I right click
it and am offered two choices: to save as .art or .bmp.
Whatever I choose, it usually saves as a .jpg file and
won't open in Windows picture and fax viewer. I have XP
Professional.

I posted a separate message in response to your query right after yours. To
try to make this recurring AOL
bugaboo more easily locatable by others.
