I have a JPG that I have put on header for letterhead I am creating for my
company. This JPG does not show up unless I hit print preview. Is there a
way to make the JPG show up on the document while typing on it?

I am sorry to post on this thread, but every time I press NEW I don't get a
new thread. I did once and this is driving me crazy. Can someone tell me how
to post?

Yes, I am signed in.
Anyway, here is my question. I have set up styles and saved them. But when I
open up a new document, they're not there. Is Word deliberately this to make
my life miserable? I need these styles for everything I am going to write for
the next year.

Please take pity on me even though I am posting on someone else's thread.

Stop using that hideous Microsoft interface. If you aren't going to use a
newsreader, such as Outlook Express, then use the Google Groups interface. I
use OE but use Google when I want to check the archives for something.
*Much* easier to use.

If you store the styles in a template and then base your new document on
that template. Check Add to Template when you are doing so. If you open a
document based on the Normal template (the default template unless you
changed it), add a style, and check Add to Template then it should be saved
to the template, so that when you open a new document the style is there.
If the style is stored elsewhere, click Tools > Templates and Add-Ins, and
click the Organizer button. You can use the resulting dialog to copy styles
to your current document.
What I have written pertains to Word 2000. Later versions may be different.
