.jpg images and font faces do not display

I am running IE6 SP1 on Win98. Most webpages do not
display correctly: all .jpg images do not display (even
after selecting "show image"). Fonts appear but not
correctly (i.e. all in default typeface). I can view
webpages fine using Netscape. Any ideas? Thank you....

This may be the issue. Check to make sure that you have all the .nls files
and that your registry setting is correct.

Pictures Are Not Displayed on Web Sites in Internet Explorer
A Web page may display an image as a red X, or a placeholder may appear in
place of the image.
