IE doesn't diplay JPG images

Mika

Hello,

I'm designing a website. The GIF images and JPG backgrounds are
displayed correctly by IE6, but other JPG files aren't. What could be
the problem? The problem only exist on one computer, not all of them.

Thanks,
Mika

Hi,

Could you please elaborate on the problems with the
other images? Are they shown? Do they look distorted?

If you happen to be referring to the fact that some
images have boxes with a red-x in them, you may consider the
following pages:

Pictures Are Not Displayed on Web Sites in Internet Explorer
http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=283807

Image Files Do Not Appear When You View a Web Page with
Internet Explorer 6 SP1
http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=817177

Or, the following link, with general image problem links,
may be of some help:

Altrus

Here you can see my HTML code. JPGs aren't displayed.

<table width="352" cellspacing="0" cellpadding="15" border="0">
<tr>
<td width="352" align="left" valign="top" class="valittu">
<h1>Header</h1>

<p>Text, text, text...</p>

Hi,

Assuming that you are designing the website, and you
know the images, it would seem unlikely that a virus is at
fault.

It seems more likely that this is the result of a
miconfiguration, or conflict on that particular computer.

Do you experince any other problems when viewing images on
that computer?

Have you considered the links previously given (In mym
second post on this thread). Specifically;

http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=817177

Best regards,

Altrus

: Maybe this has something to do with JPEG viruses?

Hi,

Not anymore. All the images with hyperlinks were invisible because of
Norton's firewall.
