JPG always saving as BPM....?

Whenever i try to save an image by using the "Image Tool
Bar" or right clicking and selecting "Save Picture As", I
can only save the image as a bitmap. This happens about
90% of the time, even though I've tried it on files that
I know for a fact are jpegs. What is going on, and does
anyone know how to fix this?

This is easy to fix and avoid in the future.
Click on Tools on the top bar and click on Internet options.
A window will open, click on the Delete files button in the middle of the
window to delete your temporary internet files.
Once this is done, click on the Advanced tab at the top of this window.
Navigate down to Security and check the box "Empty Temporary....."
You will never have this problem again.
