jpeg no longer a valid w32 application

I have lost the ability to open my .jpeg photos with one
click. Instead I now receive the message. ".jpeg is not a
valid W32 application." I scannned for worms and viruses
ans none were found. How to restore this one click
function?

When you did the virus scan, did you use the most
recent definitions? I certainly cannot say that you
definitely have a virus but it seems quite suspicious
to me.
