Journal in Outlook

Anyone use this feature? I have several 2007 installs that will not journal
Word/Excel. I check the check box but then when I go back the check box is
no longer checked.

Anyone have any clue?

Integration only works between components of the same version. In these
2007 installs (but of what edition you never mentioned), was Outlook 2007
included? Or are you using an older version of Outlook with the components
in an edition of Office 2007 that doesn't include Outlook?

Outlook 2007 which is included in the Office 2007 Small Business install.
OL also has all if its updates as does Exchange 2003.

Thanks, Vanguard.

Unfortunately that didn't help. I was able to verify that outlook can
write to that location. I'm not sure I understand OL interaction with those
files other than they show up in the directory and then are go away soon
after outlook closes.

I did notice one additional thing while testing. When I select the check
boxes in the journal options dialog, journaling works until I close Outlook.
Then it seems as if the settings are cleared and the next time you enter
Outlook so journaling isn't recorded.
