joining windows 2000 professional to windows nt domain

Hello guys

I have Winnt server with sp6a and windows 2000
professional as client with sp4.i m facing a problem
whenever i try to add the client to domain, i am getting
error message that ''network location can not be reached''
i tried a lot of options but all in vain.NetBEUI protocol
is installed in win2k machines.
pls provide me some solution.

Make sure the client is set to obtain an IP automatically from your
DHCP-server. Make sure options 003, 006 and 015 are set in DHCP-server,
scope options. You shouldn't need Netbeui.
Does the client get an IP? Does the ipconfig/all show that everything is
pointing to the server-IP?
