Joining a domain. Again.

I had been having issues with setting up a home network
and eventually the troubleshooter told me to change from
the works domain to a workgroup. I did this. This lost me
the ability to log in to Windows since I had a domain log
in and not a local user log in. However I've since used
third party tools to fix that one.

My problem now is, how do I get back to the works domain?
I tried changing it through the the computer name part of
the system properties, the way I changed to a workgroup.
But whilst I can remember the domain, call it xxx.yyy-zzz,
I can't get it to accept that. My problem is that "a
domain controller for xxx.yyy-zzz cannot be contacted".

I can understand that, I'm not connected to the works
network. However, previously when I took the laptop home I
could use the domain log in and password to get access to
the machine even though it wasn't connected to the
network. Basically I want to get back to that instead of
using the Administrator account.

Anyone know how I can get back to where I was originally?

Thanks in advance.

Your system administrators at work should be able to set you right in a
matter of minutes. They will have the necessary rights to re-join your
computer to the work network.
