I have a bit of a problem with the standard screen savers in XP running SP2.

They start out ok with smooth movement, but then at about 11 seconds the
movement freezes for about 1.5 seconds and then gets going again.

Normal media player runs ok as does viewing news videos.

I am running 2 new, 80 gig drives with 8 megs of cache. ( The drives were
ghosted over and all was working fine before). Nvidea mx 400 with 64 megs
memory, and half gig of ram.
It's nothing that I couldn't live with but just noticed this behavior a week
after I installed the new drives. Any ideas as to what is happening? Oh
yes... The monitor is a Viewsonic LCD va721 set at 800 by 600.
Thanks,
Steve

Hi Speez!

i suspect it can be related with power saving options on your pc and windows
dynamically changing process priority at idle-time.

check power saving options if you have any of them set.
