Javascript errors on web site

Sam

Problem: on a site (IE 6.0 with latest updates) with a button which when
clicked runs some javascript. With my home PC running XP Home with SP2,
also Norton Internet Security, all I get is javascript errors. On my
work PC running XP Pro (not with SP2) all works ok (using the work
network, IE6.0, and not with NIS).

I've even moved that site to the Trusted Zone for a time in case any
restrictions set in the Internet Zone are causing the problems, but no
good.

Any ideas?

thanks for this useful advice. I should have said, though, that this
problem happens with Opera, too, so i think it's a wider problem,
possibly to do with XP SP 2 ??

See if it is an effect of a third party Firewall. For example, Zone
Alarm Pro - Privacy page - Mobile Code control on may be set to kill
javascript. They have changed the default there, but I would still have
Mobile code control Off
