I a problem trying to run java applets on a window XP PC.
The problem is that , I use an on line banking service,
but when I try to run the payments module it fails, I have
tried to reinstall the microsoft JVM 3810 but no joy, I
then tried to install the sun java. But when I tried to
install the java sun I got a message saying , unable to
install program due to a problem with the package manager.
Is this message due to a problem windows package manager
and will I need to reinstall the window OS to fix the
issue.

You're not running any type of ad/popup stopper/blocker
are you ?? They can cause the java to fail, although they
might not trigger the notification it uses to alert you.
