I was trying to log on to the Yahoo Chat on the Yahoo website. I get an
error message saying "Unable to load applet. You May Need to upload an
updated version of the Microsoft VM. I did that and rebooted my pc but I
still get the same error message. Is there a fix for this problem? Thanks
everyone.

Hi Chaz,
Did you enable MVM in IE / Tools / Advanced?
I use the Sun Java plug in for playing Yahoo games, have you tried that
option? Unsure if it will work for the Yahoo chat rooms, never been in
one, but it's worth a try.
Anne.

Well I to am using Sun Java with no problems. Uner JVM, JIT Compiler for
virtual machine enabled is checked off. The other two entries are not. Is
there something else I am missing?

I checked my settings in IE / and have all three checked under Microsoft
VM, as well as having the Plug in enabled. You need to know what version
you have installed. (see below).
I have been trying all those settings with Yahoo Chat, and the only
thing I seem to be able to use are ALL those settings I mentioned
enabled.
Having said that, I DID delete all the temporary internet files, as
well, have you?

(Remove *invalid* for emailing me).

Some sites that offer the download for Microsoft VM build 3805
for Windows XP, Windows 2000, Windows 95/98, Windows Me, Windows NT 4.0.
You can try some of these:

http://www.apycom.us/msjavx86.exe
http://support.centra.com/downloads/msjavx86.exe
http://www.bunden.dk/download/msjavx86.exe

Hi Chaz,

First check . . .

http://www.visualware.com/support/msjava.html to check whether you have
latest VM: 3810

If not, do the following:(If your test showed VM 3805, skip #1 step ~ go
to step 2)

1. Get VM 3805 Download build 3805 of the MS VM here:
http://www.bunden.dk/download/msjavx86.exe

2. Install it, and then go to the windows update site and look for
VM security patch (816093)
http://www.microsoft.com/technet/treeview/default.asp?url=/technet/secur
ity/bulletin/MS03-011.asp
dated May 15 2003. This patch will upgrade build 3805 to build 3810 and
protect you from Trojan vulnerability.

Anne.
