java virtual machine

i have installed microsoft windows xp professional in my pc. recently i have
installed a brittanica encyclopidea in my pc.
the problem is that when i try to open it this message appears
unable to open the application, a newer java virtual machine must be installed

i dont know to do . i dont know from where to download the newer java
virtual machine then the one that comes with microsoft windows xp
professional .
so please help me

Its not easy to find,however open windows update,adm options or settings,
locate windows update catalog,in catalog,software,locate server 2003,web
edition i believe it is,mjvm is listed,download and install,its for xp.

You can get the latest Java Virtual Machine (JVM) from here:
http://java.com/en/download/download_the_latest.jsp . Please note that the
JVM is provided by Sun Corp. Microsoft no longer provides it due to legal
wrangling with Sun.

java I still say it is far better than sun Microsystems java

When I try to do anything I try to go through Windows Start and follow the
menu. If you intend to assist could you at least indicate the path to the
location that you recommend. I am not seeing windows upsdate anywhere.
