Java Virtual Machine problem

I installed Win XP professional and when i try and access sites that need
virtual machine support, IE pops a download dialog and takes me to the
windows upates website and tells me to download windows XP SP 1. For some
reason it doesnt install SP1 on my computer and as a result I still cant
view webpages that need Virtual Machine support. Is there a way to solve
this problem? (Win Xp pro installs I.E 6.0)

Go to http://java-virtual-machine.net/download.html and get the version you
want.
