Java script not enabled

I am unable to view many web pages I have viewed previously because I a
told that javascript is not enabled. I have gone into tools/interne
options/and enabled active scripting as suggested by someone but tha
does not help the problem. I am using Windows XP and Internet 6.0.

Would appreciate any help anyone could give me.
