RE: Java Runtime Environment

Sometimes I get an error message stating that I need a Java Runtime
Environment plug in to view a web page correctly. And the message
"offers" to download it. Yet nothing happens. S/ I be concerned? The
web page looks okay. If I s/n be concerned, how would I get rid of the
message, permanently?

Thank you.

Barry,

It's an optional component. Some site may require this (in the client
systems) for the applets in the page to be viewed correctly. If you need
JRE, you can get it from the following site:

Windows Manual Download and Installation Instructions for the Java Rutime
Environment (JRE) - 1.5.0:
http://www.java.com/en/download/help/5000010300.xml

Test Java Virtual Machine - 1.4.2_xx, 1.5.0, 1.3.0_xx, 1.3.1_xx, 1.4.0_xx,
1.4.1_xx:
http://www.java.com/en/download/help/testvm.xml
